Pesach

Pesach (Passover)
The Festival which  symbolizes the
death of  Yeshua HaMashiach.

The Hebrew letters are considered to be
the building blocks of creation and also a
source of discovering the divine secrets of
heavenly kingdom. The Hebrew words
provide analytical information in three
layers.

1. The structure of Hebrew alphabet,
2.The word picture and pictorial
information, and

3.Hidden information in the different
shades of it’s meaning and the numerical
value.
Lord’s festivals which are now
known as Jewish festivals were
proclaimed to be the set times of
Messiah. (John 5: 39).

In English translation of the verse there is
a phrase, “they which testify me’. In one of
the Hebrew translations it is, “Hammoedim
alai “. (my set times).
Hence Yeshua has
proclaimed that the Scriptures are the
primary source of the knowledge of His
set times.

The same Hebrew word “moedim” denotes
Lord’s festivals in Leviticus 23: 2. Thus we
can rightly construe that the Lord’s
festivals
are the set times in the Messianic
calender of events. The observance of
festivals are to understand the
redemption plan of God
through
Yeshua HaMashiach.

Let us examine the Hebrew word for
‘Passover’ hapesach . This word is derived
from the verb ‘Pasach’ (6452) meaning to
leap, to pass over, to halt, to limp, to be
lame. When the plague of the death of
the first born of the Egyptians was
announced by the Lord, the blood of the
Pesach lamb slain was put on the
doorposts and the lintel of the houses
of Israelites to serve as a mark
of their protection from the wrath.

Exodus 12: 13 says, “Now the blood shall
be the sign for you, on the houses where
you are, And when I see the blood I will
pass over you, and the plague shall not be
on you to destroy you when I strike the
land of Egypt.” Passover represents the
very first set time of Messiah which
denotes His death. Yeshua HaMashiach,
the great lamb of God, who takes away
the sins of the world. The death of
Yeshua HaMashiach is signified and
commemorated by the observance of
Pesach.

By His death only, death is swallowed up
in victory. (I Cor 15: 55).

Passover is the foreshadow of what is
going to happen in the Judgement day.
In the days of Exodus, the blood sign
protected the children of Israel
from destruction and their first born male
children were saved. Likewise If we are
washed by the blood of the lamb slain for
our sins, no everlasting punishment for
us and we will go into eternal life.
(Mat: 25:46). The Good Friday, though
not Biblical or regarded as a Lord’s festival,
is celebrated all over the world to
commemorate His death.

Shalom.
